Beauty Complete is a skin supplement built around marine collagen type 2. Two capsules a day provide 500 mg of Cartidyss® marine collagen, a hydrolysed collagen complex from fish cartilage with more than 65 per cent collagen peptides and at least 25 per cent chondroitin sulphate. That is the same daily dose used in the ingredient's own trial of 46 women over 90 days, with skin structure measured by imaging.
Collagen type 2, not type 1 from fish skin
Almost every marine collagen sold is type 1 taken from fish skin and scales, because that is the cheapest and most abundant raw material stream. Type 2 comes from cartilage and is a different material: the glycosaminoglycans come with it, because they were never separate to begin with. We chose the more expensive route because it is the one with the trial behind it.
Collagen and hyaluronic acid in the same capsule
Dry skin is rarely one thing, which is why the formula is three. Alongside the collagen sit 120 mg of Hyabest® hyaluronic acid at a defined molecular weight and 30 mg of Ceramosides® phytoceramides, the same lipid class as the skin's own barrier. Three named raw materials, three published trials, three printed amounts.
The vitamin C collagen formation actually needs
The daily dose provides 60 mg of PureWay-C® vitamin C with citrus bioflavonoids. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and normal skin, and vitamin B2 to the maintenance of normal skin.
Collagen capsules rather than powder
A collagen powder is measured in scoops and grams. Beauty Complete is measured in milligrams, so the amount in the capsule can be compared with the amount in the research. The point is not more grams. The point is knowing exactly what you get, and being able to look it up.
The jar stays. Only the refill travels.
The first delivery on a subscription is the amber glass jar, with its scent heart set inside. The next five are refill pouches: the jar stays on your shelf and you fill it. The sixth delivery is a new jar with a new scent heart, and the cycle starts again.
Counted over a year, that is two jars instead of twelve. The glass was made to be kept and to stand out on a shelf, not to be replaced every month, and that is the whole reason the refills exist.

What is the difference between collagen type 1 and type 2?
Type 1 is the load-bearing material of skin and tendon, taken from skin, scales and bone. Type 2 is the framework of cartilage, so a cartilage extract carries chondroitin sulphate with it. The label describes which tissue the raw material came from, not how good it is.
How do the refills work?
A subscription delivers the glass jar first, then five refill pouches, then a new jar with a new scent heart. Two jars a year rather than twelve. The pouches are not available as a separate purchase.
What does Beauty Complete do for hair?

When is it reasonable to judge the result?
The trial on Cartidyss® ran for 90 days. Allow three months, and take a photograph in the same light at the start so you are comparing something other than memory.
